         Th-F 6am – 11pm

Starbucks and Dilworth Coffee seen by a customer

BUSINESS HUMOR, CAFFEINE, CHARLOTTE DILWORTH COFFEEHOUSE, NC BUSINESS

    Dilworth Coffee Salvation

Alas, I have found a solution to my Starbucks substance abuse problem. I grew weary of traveling to Starbucks, paying for internet connection, and drinking bitter espresso. I needed relief. I found this relief at the Mint-Hill Dilworth Coffee house. There are several Dilworth Coffee locations in the Charlotte area, but my favorite (hands down) is the one located at the corner of 51 and Idlewild Road, in the Mint Hill area. Easy to get to, and easy to enjoy, I love coming to the coffee house to write, work, and have business meetings. I am actually writing this blog post from my favorite coffee destination right now!

The Dilworth Coffee house in Mint-Hill is truly a coffee experience. The espresso can only be described as smooth, creamy, and luxurious. I am not a coffee drinker by any means, but I actually enjoy the coffee here as well. I highly recommend the Snickerdoodle flavor, which blends several favorite flavors into a wonderful cup of coffee. And a wide variety of locally made goodies are offered as well, so you can round out the experience with a great snack or dessert.

The atmosphere is particularly inviting. The scents of coffee and homemade goodies entice you as you enter. Then, the music playing in the background, never too loud, gets you in the mood for the wonderful beverage you are about to experience. Once you get your drink (food is also an option), there are two inviting sections for you to sit in and enjoy your order. One section offers large, comfy, chairs and a couch, which is great for relaxing, writing, and talking. I would even recommend it for a date! Another section offers tables and chairs, which is ideal for business meetings. I attend a networking meeting here regularly, and I have also had individual business meetings here as well. It is really well set up for this function. The acoustics are great, and I find it easy to carry on a conversation while at the Dilworth Coffee house. You may also sit outside in an outdoor area, complete with café tables and chairs.

I have tried several coffee houses in the Charlotte area, but NONE are as enjoyable as this coffee house. If you’re looking for a good cup of coffee, a great latte, a snack, and a great atmosphere, I highly recommend stopping by the Mint-Hill Dilworth Coffee house for all of the above, and more!

I too, am a huge fan of the Dilworth Coffee Houses. Colleen Ogrodnick at Mint Hill is the premier hostess. I also am a frequenter of the Ballantyne Dilworth on 521. Betsy Mapes owns this shop and her staff is splendid. WAAAAY better than Starbucks, IMO.

Thanks for the comment Paula. I will have to try out Betsy’s place when I’m in Ballantyne.
